Oh...hey. I have a lot to tell you.

So. It's November 30th, 2011. Yes, way past the day that i actually said i would write. shut up! I'm sitting in a shady building outside of a class that I still have to wait 45 minutes to start and listening to elderly teachers talk about their latest conquest...and then I realized something. I have a freaking blog. Untouched since March 23rd. Yes, yes I did in fact type in my own URL and check the last date. Don't judge me, fool.

And since all that time has passed by, I have done a hell of a lot of things. You know that feeling you get when you haven't seen your best friend in ages? That feeling to blurt everything that has happened in your life, even if you have already told them 438098 times already? I have it. right. now. Therefore, I will make this wonderful list for you, in chronological order because i'm ridiculous, about everything that has occurred to me since March 23rd. Are you ready? You'll be here for a while....i wonder if i will finish before class starts. My 3 hour class. three. effing. hours. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My Life (the soap opera of the summer/fall. be jealous)

this is only half. Hell yes. 

• I passed sophomore year. 
• I got Deans Listed. 
• Balls. I can't remember anymore....this was not effective at all...maybe I should resume this list when I actually know/remember/do not have a squished slug near my foot. 
• Ew. 
• Was/Is/Always will be addicted to youtube. Heads up, new Youtubeness blog will be up soon. I've got good ones guys. Waaayyy good ones. Time well spent...just me, the laptop, and then internet. I'm so sociable. *facepalm* 
• I got a job. at Borders Bookstore...more on this in a bit. story of my life. 
• I have bought SO MANY FREAKING BOOKS. it's awesome. 

• I went to Chicago with my cousins to visit an uncle of ours. 
• As a result of that, I got a MacBook Pro...because he demanded to give me something. I was spazzy though...cause I loved my PC, and Macs are way expensive, and i was like frozen in shock. But he bought me one...and i'm in <3 with it. So yeah, i use it all the time now...and the background is this: be jealous.
• I went to the beach and got wonderfully burnt. My only beach trip of the year unfortunately...
• Lots and lots and lotsssss of barbecues
• Saw Pirates of the Caribbean 4...still not sure if I like it.
• Saw a bunch of hurricanes
• Experienced an earthquake...in which case my cousin and i thought we were just dancing to intensely. 
• Saw Xmen: First Class with Laura. soooo good. 
• Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 with Laura. epic. but it made me feel old cause its finally over. *sadface
• Zumba. 'nuff said. 
• saw One Day with Laura. It was a pretty good movie, but Laura kept making faces whenever Anne Hathaway came on screen. They don't exactly get along. 
• I finally bought myself Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. I soon became addicted. Now I'm just obsessed. It's real bad. 

just keep looking awesome. so freaking awesome. 

• Borders closed, therefore I lost my wonderful job =[  I was quite distressed. *sobface
• Classes started. yay. 
• Homework/projects/papers/things that make me want to die. 
• I joined the National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi).
• The cousins and I went to New York just like last year and saw "Wicked."
• Laura and I went to the Franklin Institute using every part of transportation available. We were so pro. Conquered public transportation like a boss. 
• My cousin and I went to a concert: Chris Brown, Meek Mills, Rick Ross, T-Pain, DJ Khaled, Young Savage, Big Sean, and soooo many more. 7 hours of standing/screaming/dancing and the smell of weed just fluttering around. It was memorable. Pics will follow eventually! 
• I bought Dance Central 2. It's amazing. SO FREAKING GOOD. 
• I pre-ordered Assassin's Creed: Revelations from Gamestop cause I'm hardcore. I got it in the mail and almost died of happiness. 
• I went to BJ's (yes, I still go there. at least twice a week. I know, my family is full of fatties) and bought the last (LAST, even though it was only supposed to be a trilogy) Inheritance series book which is called Inheritance. I can finally read it...10 freaking years later. 
• Thanksgiving was delicious, and now I am happily fat =] no, seriously. i have been feeling quite rotund nowadays.

And now, classes are winding down and finals are coming up. Which means that I have about 2 weeks to finish 5 research papers, finish reading 2 books, take 2 quizzes, do 1 interview and prepare for 3 finals. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Having all those books that I bought, plus my Assassins Creed: Revelations AND Dance Central 2 just waiting for me makes wanting to study/write very very difficult. I have an internal dialogue struggle about it every time I wake up in the morning. Definitely not mentally healthy. I'm almost there though. 2 weeks. Just. 2. weeks. 

*facepalm*

And now I'm off to sit in my three hour class, while I'd rather be staring at my favorite youtubers, attempting to actually write more of my failed NaNoWriMo novel (we'll talk about this later), or listening to the Uncharted 3 soundtrack (If I was ever to buy a PS3, it would be so that I could play the Uncharted games. Why doesn't xbox have them *sadface). And my mac is running out of battery because I forgot the charger... fml. all the time man. all the time.

I'm a blog failure (bailure?). true story.

Soooo I'm a liar, in case you hadn't noticed from all the other times that I stated it in my blog. If you're new...welcome, i am a liar. There. Now that introductions are out of the way, let's move on. In my last post I said, and I quote: 

"I promise to write in less than a week...unless i forget...but i wont forget! =]!!"

Um...it's been a bijillion days...so moral of the story is that I lied. I'm sorry. I am in the process of writing another post that will hopefully be finished by today...or tomorrow. SWEAR.

Oh hey there little sprogs (ps. that's an endearing term that means baby...betcha you didn't know that suckas!)

It has been a reallllllllyyyyy loooooonnnnnggggg time since I've last blogged. It's not my fault. I swear. It was classes and sleep. So I will attempt to summarize everything that has occurred since February 6th.

*Ahem*

Oh! And welcome to my recent sprogs (you amazing new followers!). I hope you enjoy my spaziness! 

*Ahem*

1. School. I've started.
   My classes aren't as fun (or easy) as last semester. But they still are interesting. I do get to watch a musical every Tuesday, which is pretty genius in my mind. Art History is boorrriiinnnggg. But Laura and I do sit next to each and other zone out simultaneously, which is quite entertaining to talk about after class. And as a result of these killer classes, I have taken to living (well, half-living) in the library. It's intense. Just me, my laptop, and 3892378273 books. yeahhh, i know, i'm a player. don't hate.
   
2. I made the Dean's List.
   'nuff said. I am a winner. WINNING, duh! (as per Charlie Sheen. ha.)
   
3. I attended a London study abroad meeting.
   Yes, yes indeed I did attend a meeting for studying abroad Spring of 2012. I nixed the Fall 2011 idea because it was too soon to spring that idea on my parents. And now I'm hesitating about how this whole study abroad is gonna fit in my schedule...yeah, we'll see how this goes.
   
4. I went to Ocean City. with Laura and her family.
   This trip was pretty much awesome because 1. laura's fam is hilarious 2. i actually got to go somewhere out of the state without my family 3. we went to some pink omelette place that had pink parking lines and upside down Christmas trees hanging from the roof 4. we went to Crackel Barrel for dinner and i was thoroughly confused by all the loudness and scary looking hick men. It was pretty bizarre, but apparently it's not always like that...which is probably a lie.
   
5. I saw Harry Potter 7 part 1!!!! for the first time!!!...6 months after it first came out.
   I knowwwww. I understand the fact that I am a complete failure at life because of this. Honest, I swear, I was totally intending on going to the opening day premiere of the movie...but then something happened. Give me a second to think of some extravagant excuse....but anyway, Laura and I found out that it was playing at our university! and so we bought 3 dollar tickets (oh yeahhh) and frolicked along to watch it. Before the movie started however, we found some pretty legit seats. Like the best seats...until a creepy looking guy sat about 3 seats away from me. But I could deal. I mean, three seats is a good amount of space. But oh no, that would make my life too normal. About 10 minutes before the movie started, this said creeper decided to move one seat away from me. For no apparent reason. Legit no. reason. at all. He was by himself, and there was no one pressuring him to move in. Laura laughed, and I shot her dirty looks and then got distracted by the movie. Lemme just say that Tom Felton is the most beautiful thing. evar. like in all eternity. About halfway through the film, when Tom Felton's face was on screen, I turned to Laura and said "I'd tap that." She laughed...and agreed. It's a proven fact. He is amazingness personified. But enough gushing, the movie was legit awesome. Ron was really good at being angry, Hermione's mom face was spot on, and Harry was a perfect whiner...like normal. And when *spoiler alert* Dobby died!! Everyone in the theatre went "awwwww nuuuu." Que the violins and funeral songs because that ish was sad :( ...I'd still tap that. Felton. not Dobby. gross.
   
6. Two words: Dance Central.
   Best dance game evar. This game for the Xbox 360 w/ Kinect has got to be one of my favorite games of all time. It's even better than DDR. The Kinect sensor picks up your body movements with its camera and makes sure they match the dance moves of the dancer on the screen...and if they do, you get points! There are good songs too: Evacuate the Dance Floor, Crank That, Teach me How to Jerk, Poison, Pon de Replay, Push it, etc. AND if you finish all those songs, you can head online and download (buy with Microsoft points) new songs and learn all those. The best part is that the dance moves that you actually do and learn literally do look like dance moves that you could randomly burst out doing. It's amazing, check it out, or harass your neighbor to buy it...bribery would work too.
   
7. My electronic devices are wonderful.
   My nook is the BOMB. Sadly, I haven't been able to gaze lovingly at it everyday like I would prefer to. But whenever I can steal a moment, it's just me and the nook. I've read some pretty good books on there that I will hopefully be able to list soon. And my headphones are equally as amazing. I love them to bits, although I walk around campus feeling at a slight disadvantage because I can barely hear anything. Ah well, it's so worth it. My cute little ipod is thoroughly used and charged everyday. From 9 to 5, I listen to my ipod happily jamming to my 200 some songs that are listed. I do have to update my songs though, but trust me, I will not be putting Rebecca Black's Friday on it. NEVERRRR. 

And now you, my favorite people ever, are up to speed on my life...and I have to run and cram 3823987293 names of buildings in my head because I have an Art History: American Architecture exam. tomorrow. joy. And spring break starts soon! And then I have 3 research papers due...oh buddie, it's crunch time. Wish me luck! And have a great end of the week! I promise to write in less than a week...unless i forget...but i wont forget! =]

Superbowl? No. Holding onto my last free Sunday? Yes!

Well ladies and gentlemen, it is my last free Sunday until summertime. Yes, indeed. And I'm soooo not ready for classes to be starting up again. That's right people. Spring semester begins...tomorrow.

I have 5 classes, and I researched quite a bit to find the good (hopefully) professors. My spring semester will be made up of Linguistics, English Grammar, Studies in Film, Art History (architecture), and American Lit. Art history will be my one class with Laura. I know, we're just that awesome. And I'm actually really excited about my Studies in Film class because it's going to be focused on musicals. But then I read a description of the class which listed one of the activities to be a semester long research project. I almost died. Doesn't that sound absolutely terrifying???

But anyway, I will report about my class soon. Wish me luck!

WHAT UP MUTHAFUKASSSS?!

Sorry...too far? Forgive me, I was a bit overjoyed. So since I haven't blogged in over a week, I figured I'll just jam most of my news into this Nonsensical Blurbyness.

• I have received and read Matched. I know, I should've blogged about recieving it...except I forgot about it. Anyway, the moment I saw that I had it, I texted Laura and said: AHHHHHH! I just checked my Barnes and Noble account and found out that i now have Matched on my Nook!!! :).
  Yes, I know I'm a nerd. I can't help it. You know what's even better? I finished it in like 3 hours. I'm a G, what can I say? But no worries, I will do a proper review of this book in due time...you'll love it. 

• Second story. I ordered a bunch of books for my coming up semester from Amazon because I like to save money. Pffft, what money right? Let's just pretend. Anyway, I was slowly getting all of them through the mail. When I was opening up one, I got a surprise. See the book I ordered was called The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. Don't ask questions, I already know this is a weird title. But that's beside the point. The actual point is that the above mentioned book is not what was in this package. Instead, The Hunger Games popped out!

  Now, don't get me wrong,  I LOVE the Hunger Games and all, but I already have the book. At first I was angry at myself for accidentally clicking this book into my cart, but I went back and checked my receipt...Hunger Games was NO WHERE near my cart. It was the most bizarre thing evar. I mean, of all books to be shipped to me, it magically happened to be The Hunger Games....creeeeeeepppyyyyy. I told Laura that it was a sign...they want me to be a part of the movie. I'll be Annie (oh hey there Finnick!). WIN.

• It snowed. Quite a bit. So i've been stuck at home...not making money. booooooo. 

hahahaha oh calvin, you are amazing. 

• It is Pride and Prejudice's 198th birthday today!! I love this book. It's been one of my favorites since middle school. And if you haven't watched the movie of  this with Keira Knightly, I suggest you do because it's very well directed and played out. No unnecessary shenanigans.

• Keep your eyes out for another Youtube-ness post because that seems to be a big favorite! I love sharing my geekyness with you all! So don't worry, I will expand your knowledge soon enough!

My Matched Failure.

The first quote from my nook cover...I think I'm going to write one at the beginning of each blog post! But anyway, let's get to the real reason for today's post-ness:  

*Ahem*

This sucks. to the maximum. I was all prepared to read Matched and have a huge spazz session with Laura. But what happens? I buy the book on my nook, and this is the thanks I get.

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

The answer? I'm pretty sure it's cause they (not quite sure who "they" is at the moment...but let's just pretend it doesn't matter for the time being) are super jealous that I was going to read Matched. And so they sabotaged my brilliant plans. Jerks.

Moral of the story is that I have the beautiful cover of Matched on my nook...I just can't do anything with it.

But hopefully I will resolve this problem tomorrow. And then I'll finish the book. Call Laura. Spaz. Buy my semester's books (I know, I'm a slacker). Read it again. And be happy. Oh yeah, that sounds realll good.

I'll give an update on my insanity soon enough. Winter break is winding down! 3 weeks left....okay, that's a lot of time. Sooo it's not quite winding down. I would be absolutely delirious if I wasn't working. What in the world did I do last winter break to pass the time???

Nook Love

Oh hey guys!!

So today, after scrubbing my bathroom down to oblivion, I ventured to the mall with Laura and her sister. We were on a mission. We needed Nook covers. Reason? Oh, well because I feel like an absolute nerd when I whip out my giant white Nook box (yeah, the original one) and start reading in the middle of nowhere. I prefer a more subtle way of showing off my coolness.

And I found one! So did Laura. But we were kinda confused about which ones we wanted more. First she picked one that had Alice in Wonderland words on the front, and I was like "heck nah woman. I hate Alice in Wonderland." So then I picked up a blue and tan one with a bunch of words on it. More expensive. Darn my tastes!! But then she decided she liked the one I picked too. And so we had matching nook covers...for our matching nooks. Can you say N-E-R-D-S?? But then she saw the one next to it, and decided she liked that one...and I realized I kinda liked that one too! We are impossible children, but we made our choices and I love my cover. Now I can whip out my nook in style!! But of course before we could leave the store to wander around the mall, the little beeper sensor thing started beeping. I kept going, but Laura stopped like she actually stole something. Ha. Anyway, she like looked up for someone and one of the nook guys caught her eye and kinda nodded. She came over to us and started telling us all the previous info. And then of course, since we consider many things creepy, she said: "He nodded at me. and then he kinda just looked. I was half expecting him to wink and make my life twenty times more awkward than it was." I thought it was hilarious...she wasn't so keen.

Anyway, I'm still working, and winter break is still going. Yesterday at work, I was helping stuff acceptance letters! The whole time all I could think about was this: "Omg, what if I accidentally stuff someone else's letter in this envelope?"...and then I'd start laughing at the hypothetical person's reaction because I'm a horrible person. 

 But on a completely different note, I am thoroughly enjoying my headphones. I wear them NONSTOP. So my ears are probably going to die...but they will die happily. I love the extra bass BOOM that I get with these things. And the surround sound is banging. Although, it makes it kinda difficult to hear the rest of the world...like my mother. Ah, well it's allll worth it! Only problem? It hurts my physical ear lobes if I keep them attached to my head for like 4 solid hours. But again, it's totally worth it. I'll do a proper review soon.

Another off topic thing is that I finally got the cord to charge my ipod mini!!! *cue choir...now* It only took forever for the little cord to get here, but now I have uploaded about 200 songs to my little pink monster. We're best friends. He makes me happy...and I charge him. What more could you want? I love it. I just needed music back in my life, and I got a banging source. Granted, it's not the newest Iphone 4 or nano or whatever, but it definitely gets the job done. See my face? It's beyond happy. It's ecstatic. =] 

And now I'm off to watch some Criminal Minds...because Reid is really cute :) But, one last thing before I go. There's a newish book that is out called Matched by Allie Condie. If you haven't read it yet, definitely check it out as soon as possible. I'll post a reviewish/explaination/thingy soon, but don't wait for me!! Go for it!!

Nonsensical Blurb #4

Okay so I'm not going to lie, I had to search back in my archives of blog posts to remember what Nonsensical Blurb number I was on. Pathetic, I know. It's not my fault. Well...at least, we're going to pretend that it's not my fault. And ohhhh do I have a bunch of stuff to share with you!

• I got a Nook for Christmas!! It's B-E-A-U-tiful! I've downloaded 40 free books, added a bunch of my music, and played several mind-grueling games of sudoku. I love it so far, but time will tell if it's just a splurge of excitedness. I honestly have wanted one of these for a while, but I didn't know if I should get it...or if I should get the kindle/nook/sony/etc...or if i should nix the whole idea completely. I love having books in my hand, but trying to pack 5 books in my pack when I'm traveling is slightly annoying. So this helps hardcore =]

•  Next, I have currently commandeered my cousin's ipod mini...from back in the day. Like waaaaaay back in the day. Sadly she had NO idea where the usb sync cord is. Which sucks. Because I hardcore wanted to fill it with all my glorious songs (for some reason, that sounds really dirty...moving on...)! So I hopped onto amazon.com and searched my brains out for a cord that would sync and charge this thingy. It's due for arriving at my doorstep sometime this weekend. Hopefully...unless the mailman eats it. Then i'll cry and order a new one.

• Lastly, I've been stalling this entire time so the UPS guy could deliver my headphones. And approximatively 2 minutes ago, he did!! Let me just tell you, I flew down those steps and slammed into that front door like my survival depended on it. I'm in the process of unloading the headphones. right.now.

So this is what it started out as...simple enough. Just a bit of plastic wrappage around my super awesome pink skullcandy skullcrusher Peace Love Noise headphones. No Biggie.

Aren't they glorious?! I'm sooo excited to be getting them soon! I've been stalking the UPS truck that's carrying them...like hardcore stalking...possibly bordering on creeptastically stalking. What can I say? I'm desperate. These are my first legit-hardcore-more-than-20-dollar-dj-looking headphones. And I got them on sale for 40 dollars!!!!!!!! They were 70 dollars on the site, and I was so very tempted to buy them. So I started desperately searching for coupons to at least get the price down to around 50 dollars. Then BAM! I found a coupon for 40% off headphones. I literally died of happiness. 

So yeah, I'll take a bunch of pictures of my crazed happy face when I open that. And I order a usb sync cord for my cousins OLD ipod mini. This baby is legit ancient. Like I had to look up whatever the heck it's real name was in order for me to look for a cord...cause she has no idea where it is, and i wanted it. So i found it for 2 bucks and was like "um, mine." That will come eventually...and hopefully it'll fit. Or i'll cry. Because I want to use it. Badly.

2011 Resolutions: in other words, "Bish, change your life. it sucks."

So. I've lived through a few New Years, but I've never really had the urge to make resolutions. Mostly because I know that I will forget whatever I pledge in about a week. But I have the sudden urge to make a list of things that I want to accomplish before next year. And (if this blog survives until next year) I will see how much I've accomplished by the end of the year. Exciting right? I know. It's brilliance.

Ready. Set. Go. 

New Years Resolutions. 2011 style. 

1. Buy amazing DJ-like headphones 
2. Study abroad...somewhere.
3. Buy a new car
4. Learn how to DJ like a beast. like hardcore. 
5. Get my nose pierced (i'm aiming toward summer for this one)

8. Lose some weight

10. Buy a legit camera...or two..
11. Get some scholarships back under my belt

15. Get colored contacts (preferably greenish)
16. Go to more concerts =]

Aah, the wonders of trying to figure out what I want to do with a whole year. Let's see how many of these get accomplished. Do you guys ever make up lists? Do you ever try to cross things off? 

As I finish this post, so does Christmas break finish. I go back to work soon, and hopefully start making some cash that will go toward my study abroad fund. I saw a bunch of my friends last Thursday, and we watched Scott Pilgrim. It was extremely bizarre. Like legit bizarre. I'm pretty sure my face was in constant confusion. And Michael Cera is soooooooooo awkward. Just watching him walk around made me feel awkward. Weird. 

Perhaps tomorrow I will write a Nonsensical Blurb summing up the Christmas break goodness. Since I sadly haven't written one of those in a real long time. It's depressing, I know, but since school is far away from me at the moment, there's lots of time!
